My son works at Subway as the asst. manager and was quite excited to find out all of you were in town yesterday (October 15, 2006) in Oregon, Illinois filming. I just wanted to let you know that if there’s anything that you need while you’re staying here – let me know and I’ll do what I can. Our town is so small that it’s rare we have any opportunities to have “news” let alone have a part on the big screen. Guaranteed that we’ll all be running to the theater to see it! It’s really surprising to even think that TJ’s canoe rental would be showcased – very cool! Hopefully you’ve been able to take a side trip to White Pines State Park, up river a bit to the Blackhawk Indian Statue and if you have an afternoon or evening free, take a ride on the River Boat just across from the indian statue. If you want to be yelled at and made fun of while you eat great steak that is cooked in the middle of the room, right next to the riverboat cruise is a restaurant called the “Steak Pit.” It’s a hoot! Sure beats Subway! For a tiny town in the middle of nowhere basically, Oregon is pretty neat. Moved out here to get away from the congestion in the Chicago suburbs and I’ll never move back. I don’t know if you’ll see this in time while you’re out here, but thought I’d drop a note. Hope you enjoy your time out here!
Hey man,
Love the blog. I hope you do some cool posts as you head out back home for the holiday season. If you can, snap some photos of a wild boar.
Love,
Ian
